The annual Melbourne Leisurefest
The annual Melbourne Leisurefest is back in October, organised by the Caravan Trade & Trade Industries Association of Victoria (CTIAV) and the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC). This year's big event will be held at Sandown Racecourse, where show-goers will be able to see the latest and greatest caravans, motorhomes, camping trailers, and four-wheel drive vehicles all at one place. There will be a big range of accessories and nicknacks on display and for purchase as well, from some of Australia's leading suppliers in 4x4, camping, and tools.
Whether you're thinking of buying a grand caravan or a luxury motorhome, or simply want to check out the latest in tents and outdoor equipment, Leisurefest will have it all. Aside from the usual trade stands and show vans, a range of activities are also on the agenda, including special seminars, family entertainment, and even a full caravan towing track to see how products perform. As a unique treat, entrants will have the opportunity to win prizes. Simply collect a 'passport' at the gate and find all of the checkpoints throughout the venue for the chance to enter into a major prize draw.
The event will take place from October 2 to 5, Thursday to Sunday. Gates open at 10am on all five days, with the action closing at 4pm on Sunday, and 5pm all other days. Tickets can be bought at the gate, or if you want to save a couple of bucks you can buy them online. Prices start at $13 for adults and $8 for concession card holders. Kids under 15 get in for free.
